The Story: Part I

Here is the first part of the story from Hannah R.

"Boarah and her brother, Meired, live the islands of M'gyru, in the small kingdom of Vinal. Boarah and Meired have an uncle (who happens to be a secret agent) and a cousin: Mlaidlin and Anaira. Anaira and Boarah are as close as sisters and they do everything together.

One day, as they were walking together in the woods of Maid Valley, they came upon an old, dark, spooky looking castle in a small open place. Their curiosity (of course) gets the better of them and they go up to it and sneak in. They find a room in which a man and a woman are talking, and over hear they're plans. Boarah gets caught and Anaira escapes (without them ever knowing she was there).

The plans they overheard were such: Leialand (the man) and his wife, Shlaneth, were scheming to have their (Bane) marry the Princess Lethlene, so he could use her money to pay off all his debts, instead of theirs. The only difficulty was that the princess was already engaged to Prince Allister of Rile. Shlaneth suggested that the prince be quietly “disposed of.” Her husband (being a selfish, cold-hearted brute!!!) readily agreed. After planning their scheme out for some time, Shlaneth goes towards the door and hears the footsteps as they run down the hall.

Boarah and Anaira separate and run all over the castle until Boarah gets caught and Anaira escapes out a window. Leialand has Boarah locked up and Anaira goes and tells her dad what happened. Meired (Boarah's brother, if you'll remember), Mlaidlin, and Mlaidlin's co-workers, Adis and Cameron decide to look into it, but Dr. Frent (their boss) doesn't consider the information credible, and tells them the agency will not support them in their investigation. So they follow the trail unofficially, and get Boarah out after Bane left and the prince had been killed.

When those ^ people go to find Boarah, they make Anaira stay home and she gets caught alone at her house by some people hired by Leialand and, after intense fighting back, she gets away from him and runs outside, only to be caught by the ones waiting out there. (I'm gonna get the rest of it up later, if I can. And I'm working on a sort of picture/mappish sort of thing of the islands, and the people and places, and the character profiles.)"

Dear Members (and everwho else may condescend to read this),

One of our members and I thought of an idea for a movie that we think we can pull off, and I thought the Script Club could produce it. I'll get you all about the plot line and all that once I have a basic and complete outline of it. But for now, I just thought I'd let you all know, in case any of you would like to have a part in the film, or help make it, or if you have any ideas to throw in. For the time being, I'm gonna make character profiles, outline the story to see what we can and can't do, and start writing the script.
I'll get a list of characters and character profiles here soon, and a list of what talents and such we're gonna need for this, so you can decide what you'd like to do. I'll get back to you about the details.

A letter from Hannah R.

"We have been slacking off a lot on the SC, which is one of the reasons we didn't do "Sleeping Judy". But now I want to confirm something. Even thought I'm the president, I don't think it's "fair" that I'm the one calling all the "shootings". =) So I'm telling you now, if any of our members would care to write a script or even produce one of the scripts that are already on this site, please feel absolutely free to do so. I have a few more script and ideas in the works, and I will try to have them finished and on this site as soon as possible.


If you have any ideas or questions of your own, just leave them in a comment. And if you have a script already written, you can just have your parents approve it, then give it to my Secretary, Hannah Ba., and she'll put it up here for you.

New Letter....only this one is sad!

"Dear S.C. Members,
This is a little hard for me to say, for I know that, as your president, this is all my fault and I am fairly certain that it will disappoint some of you at least.

I am sorry to say that, for the time being, we are calling it quits on "Sleeping Judy". I know that we have waited a long time for it and we were all excited, but it has been going nowhere and to my certain knowledge will continue as such. I have several reasons for this, not the least of which is the fact that many of our actresses are growing out their costumes. That was another fault on my part. I should have known better than to to sew costumes before we even had a camera. We will, however, Keep the script, and if anyone of our esteemed members would like to take it upon themselves to produce it, please feel free.

But I do have some Consolation. This letter shan't be made up completely of bad news . On of our members (Crystal T.) has kindly offered the use of her video camera to the club, and we that he for that even if it may not come to use right away. I think all the members should have private or teamed brainstorming sessions, and right scripts of their own, if they wish. There is bit one rule about them: they have to be set in the modern day. That way we will not have any problems with sets and costumes. There are no minimums and maximums as two how long the script has to be. You could write a full length movie script, or a short. Whatever your fancy inclines towards. When you are finished, the Vice President, Secretary, and I can got over them and edit them, and make them fit for camera.

We will decide what to do from there.

"Dear Members (and whoever else may be reading this),

We don't have a lot of news yet, because we still haven't started shooting. But in the meantime, I guess I could give you a bit of background on our club:

The P.I.T.S (Pictures In The Sky) club started about two years ago in February. When we first started, we only had Hannah B., Hannah and Ruth B., Sarah R. and Yours Truly. Very soon, I had a complete "script" that I was very proud of. And I was very eager to start on it (for, back then, we had a video camera of sorts. But it broke right after we had finished "shooting"). It turned out to be about the dumbest parody of Cinderella ever made. But still, we kept the script for the memories that came with it.

Anyway, not long after "Syndey Rellish", I started On a new script called, "Sleeping Judy"(you can find that on the script page) and started gathering new members. I soon finished the script and started going back over it to fix all the glitches. Then I started gathering up members again. After that, I wrote a short to go with "Sleeping Judy" (the three billy goats, also on the script page.).

In the past year, I have gathered up three new members, that we simply could not do without. And we have absolutely no budget on these things, we just use what we've got. I have most of the costumes for the upcoming production, but we still have a long way to go on the sets and props.

And, as always, we could use any and all advice you might be able to offer on the scripts and ideas for sets. We also take script suggestions, if you could just leave a comment on the script page or get with me, my secretary Hannah Baggett, or the Vic. Pres. Hannah Brandon.

Welcome to Pictures in the Sky

This blog is for the members of pictures in the Sky. I don't have everything set up yet but hope to do so soon. You can check back here for newsletters from our President Hannah Riley or for updates on club meetings. We have a script page. If you have any questions about the scripts, then just leave a comment at the bottom of that page.


-Right now we are waiting on a video camera before shooting Sleeping Judy. Once we get one we hope to finally be able to start filming short after.
